Somlójenő is a small village at the foot of Mt. Somló. Arriving at the village, you can enjoy a nice view of the vineyards, houses and wine-cellars on the slopes of the mountain. The people living in one of Hungary’s most significant wine regions have been engaged in wine-growing for a long time. You can taste also the most characteristic wine of the region, i.e. the Juhfark, in the wine-cellars of the village. The small pathways among the vineyards will lead you to the summit. Walking on them in autumn, you can smell the fine scent of grapes and see happy grape harvesters. From the look-out tower on the top of the mountain, there is a view of the landscape exploding in a riot of colour in autumn and trees in full bloom in autumn… The region, where a lot of protected animals and plants can be found, holds surprises in store for each season.
