This small settlement hides at the foot of Mt. Somló. Its residents were engaged in agriculture previously and a lot of them still deal with wine-making. In autumn the vineyards full of grapes provide a spectacular view and, naturally, the wines made here are really fine. It is worth trying the ‘wine of bridal nights’, i.e. the Somló Juhfark. The legend has it that the young couple will have a son if they drink this wine. The Erdődy Palace, which accommodates the Hollós István Socio-therapeutic Psychiatric Hospital today, can be found near the settlement. There are a number of rare tree species in the nature conservation area situated in its park. The Voice of Somló Festival, which presents the folk art heritage of the region, is organised here on a regular basis. There is a nice view of the Somló Castle from the village and the Castle is only a short walk away on the designated pathway. There is a splendid view of the landscape from the top of Mt. Somló.
