St Günter Guest House
More and more people have decided to visit the community of the St. Mauricius Monastery in the past ten years, including guests who consider the Monastery as a place for recreation and divine encounters. It had been a long-cherished plan to build a house for the reception of guest, which purposefully stays away from the world of luxury, yet it provides accommodation for those wishing for peace and silence, meeting the standards of today. The operation of such a guest house – through the accommodation charge – can contribute to the maintenance of the Monastery as well.
There are double rooms with a bathroom available in the ‘4-sunflower’ Guest House named after St. Gunther. The Guest House is able to accommodate up to 14 people at a time. One of the rooms downstairs is furnished and equipped in a way that it is suitable also for physically handicapped people. The Guest House equipped with a kitchenette and a common room is suitable for spiritual exercises, conferences and recreational programmes.
The accommodation capacity is further extended by the 6 beds in the St. Mauritius Cell.
The 4.5 ha arboretum will also serve the enjoyment of visitors.
